The Kitty Hawk is the oldest active carrier serving in the US Navy. One of the few conventionally powered carriers among her Nuclear sisters. Home ported in Yokosuka, Japan operates in the Far east and recently participated in Operation Enduring Freedom. Argos has faithfully reproduced her in her latest configuration in solid metal. The detail is amazing especially in this small scale and it rivals the detail found on large 1/700 carriers.

The ship is completely painted in accurate colors and the sharpness of the deck markings has to be seen to be appreciated. The deck numbers are crisp and contrasting orange and red safety markings really stand out on the dark gray deck..
The ship comes securely packed in a sturdy cardboard box. It is mounted on double sided tape and secured with foam inserts and card stock braces to minimize shipping damage. The Island is separately packed in foam.   Simply adjust the mast and aerials and this jewel is ready to display.
A simple view of the island is included to help you position the parts. A second sheet with specs in german is also included.
