Fly Model 1/200 USS Saratoga CVA-60

Reviewed by Timothy Dike
Paper Models are gaining in popularity. Especially as new subjects are added. They are more affordable than other media and many of us have already working in paper at one point or another. This new model by Fly Model let's you build a huge USS Saratoga. The ship is modeled during the cold war years and included a full color airwing of Crusaders. The kit is printed in large format, too big to fit on my scanner, so I hope these photo's show the kit well enough to give you an idea of it's construction.

You can build yours in full hull or waterline version. The paper is a bit too light to support a ship of this size, so I would recommend that you laminate the sheets to thicker paper of even sheet styrene.

The pages of the kit are illustrated below, they are printed on large B-sized sheets.
The kit is very extensive and includes many pages. The exterior parts are printed in color, while the interior hull frames are printed on plain paper. The aircraft are printed on glossy paper with all the markings.

This would make a great basis for a scratchbuilt ship, imagine having a huge 5' long Forrestal Class Aircraft Carrier!

This kit is priced at 43.90 EUR  which is about $ 56 US a pretty good price for a 1/200 ship. Check out the e-papermodels.com website for even more ships and detailing accessories to enhance your kit.
