COLOSSUS CLASS PHOTO-ETCH
There are one photo-etch fret in the package.  The fret is labeled as Set 769, RMS Titanic Rails, but, according to the directions, the set has been "optimized for the 1/700 scale Hobby Boss kits of Olympic, Titanic and Britannic. Locations and part numbers are called out for easy use of this set with these kits."

Included in the set are multiple styles of railings, multiple lenghts of inclined ladders, rail gates, a rail for the top of the tank room, and ratlines.

Ladders include:

  • Bow rails
  • Single bar rail
  • Two bar rail
  • Three bar rail with a kickplate
  • Three bar rail without a kickplate
  • Five bar rail with a kickplate
  • Five bar rail without a kickplate

Etching is well done.

INSTRUCTIONS

Instructions are both sides of a single piece of paper. They explain what the parts are, and where they go on each of the three ships.

CONCLUSIONS
With HobbyBoss having released all three Olympic-class sisters (each in a different guise:  liner, troop transport, hospital ship), the release of this set, with specific instructions on where to place the parts, is most welcome.  This is a well done set of photo-etch railings and inclined ladders, which will help modelers dress up any of the the aforementioned HobbyBoss Olympic-class kits.  The set retails for $15.00 USD, and is available directly from Tom's Modelworks, who'd I'd like to thank for this review sample.   Highly recommended.
