| NorthStar Models has released a detail set for ships of the United States Navy, set NSA 700029, Cable reels US Navy WWII. The set includes nine (9) different styles of cable reels. | |||||

| THE PARTS | |||||
| The small photo-etch fret (approximately 2 1/2 x 1 3/4) is finely etched with very thin parts, and relief etching on the flanges. There are nine different styles of cable reels, in varying sizes. You'll have to use plastic or brass rod for the drum in the center of the spool. You'll also have to wrap you own material around the drum, or you'll have empty cable reels. | |||||

| Instructions are a single, small (8x6) piece of paper. They show you how to assemble the various cable reels, but they don't tell you what ship they were found on, or where they will go. As always, check your references. The directions are, however, clear and easy to follow. | |||||
| CONCLUSIONS | |||||
| This is a nice little set, with
some very fine detail. These cable reels should enhance the look
of your WWII USN ships.
