LionRoar has released a set of IJN Davits in 1/350 scale, set L#350030, IJN Cockboat Davits Set II.

The set includes six different styles of davits.  There are six of each style, for a total of 36 davits on the fret.

THE FRET
These don’t say what type of ship they are for, but they appear to be similar to what Fine Molds markets in 1/700 as being for destroyers and smaller ships.

Each davit comes flat on the fret, and needs to be folded, in accordance with the instructions, to make a single davit. The davits all have nice relief etching, with pulleys and tackle integral with most of the davits.

Close ups of some of the fret details.
INSTRUCTIONS
The instructions are a single, small piece of paper, with some arrows showing how each different style is bent into shape.  There is no indication of where they would go on the ship, so be sure to consult your references.
CONCLUSIONS
There are very nicely etched, and should help those modelers wishing to super-detail their Imperial Japanese Navy Destroyers and escorts.   This is Lion Roar set LE350030, IJN Cockboat Davits II.   They retail for $12.99, and are available from many of our sponsors.    Thanks to LionRoar for the review sample.   Recommended.
