1/700 Modern Soviet Aircraft Carrier Photo etch set by Gold Medal models

Another new set from Gold Medal Models includes virtually everything you will need to detail your Trumpeter and Aoshima Kiev and Minsk and Italeria's Admiral Kuznetsov. Like the other recent releases from this manufacture, the latest in fine etching is employed. The relief etching really helps give the set a more 3D like appearance.

Quality is on par with their other recent releases. This set is custom designed to fit those kits on the market and even takes into account the differences in some kits from different manufactures. Obviously Loren Perry of Gold Medal Models has taken the time to test fit his parts with the kits. The detail shots below will give you a better idea of the fine etching in this set.

As usual the instructions are very well done. They show not only how the photo etch assemblies go together, but also how they integrate with the plastic parts in the kits. The instructions show plan and elevation views of the Kiev/Minsk and Admiral Kuznetsov with clearly noted details.

Conclusions:
