Tetra Modelworks review
Reviewed December 2015

Here's a look at Tetra Model Works IJN Akagi basic detail set for the new Hasegawa kit.  This version does not include the wooden deck.  It consists of two photo etch frets, and a length of metal chain.
PHOTOETCH
FRET 1
The first fret includes railings in custom cut lengths to fit the various parts of the kit.  Platforms with diamond plate tread patterns relief etched onto the surface.  Boat davits, radio antenna, safety netting, bracing and supports just to name a few of the details.
FRET 2
The second fret includes new decks with three relief edged surface details including more diamond plate detailing.  Bracing to go around the funnel is one of those details that really will set off your model.  Refer to the illustrations in the instructions to get an idea of what the model looks like with these details added.
METAL CHAIN
A length the metal chain will help add some realism to your model.
INSTRUCTIONS
The instructions are four full color pages illustrated with a completed model and subassembly views. It helps to study the instructions to see all the little details included that I did not mention.
CONCLUSIONS

This is a really cool detail set that will help turn your Akagi into a realistic recreation of the actual ship. This is set  #SE-72005 1/700 IJN AKAGI Basic Detail up set for HASEGAWA retailing for about $27.50 US on Free Time Hobbies site
