1/350 ANCHOR CHAIN

This 3D printed set of anchor chain is designed for 1/350 scale ships.

There are three (3) lengths of chain on one print raft.  The chain is printed in a dark gray resin.  The print is very well done, and the chain is flexible, meaning it moves when detached from the print raft.

Please note that in the rush to get to the 2026 IPMS USA National Convention, where I was given this sample, the chain was put in a bag labeling it "1/700".  I have confirmed with Rich Harden of Tom's Modelworks that is definitely 1/350 chain.  This is the "large" version. Another set (350-29) is the "small" anchor chain.

INSTRUCTIONS

There are no instructions.  If you don't know where to put the anchor chain by now, well...

CONCLUSIONS
As mentioned in other reviews, 3D printing has revolutionized the scale modeling industry. These chains are a prime example.  Instead off flat molded on chain, flat photo-etch chain, or metal chain, which can sometimes kink and/or resist paint adhering to it, here we have a nicely printed, detailed set of anchor chain.  These are a very welcome addition to Tom's growing stable of 3D printed parts, and are highly recommended.

This is Tom's Modelworks set 350-11 Large Anchor Chain. The set lists for $6.99 USD, and is available directly from Tom's website.  Thanks to Tom's Modelworks for this review sample, which is highly recommended!
