Flyhawk has released a set of masks for their 1/700 German Großes Torpedoboot G-39 (FH1309), set FH710049, German Großes Torpedoboot G-39 1916 Masking Seal.  The set contains one small sheet of pre-cut masks for G-39

The Masking Seal

The pre-cut sheet feels almost like Tamiya masking tape.  I peeled off a small part of the mask from the sheet.  It came off easily, and just like the masks for the Prince of Wales and Legion kits, the backing doesn't feel like it has an excessive amount of adhesive on it.  Which means it probably won't leave a stick residue.   The masks are extremely thin, so be careful when removing them and applying them to the model.  The set of masks is quite extensive, especially for very small ship, enabling you to cover the decks and the small superstructure platforms.
INSTRUCTIONS
The instructions are are located on the back of the packaging insert.   They are very simple and self explanatory.
CONCLUSIONS
This masking set is made specifically for Flyhawk's basic G-39 kit (FH1309).   The masks are sharply cut, and easy to remove from the backing.  They are also very thin, and you should be careful when removing them from the backing and placing them on the model.   These masks are a great idea, and should cut down building time for those of us - like me - who like to airbrush our decks and horizontal surfaces before painting the rest of the model.

This is Flyhawk set FH710049, the Masking Seal set for their SMS G-39 Großes Torpedoboot kit. It retails for around $18.00.  Thanks to Flyhawk for the review sample.   Highly recommended.
