New 3D products have arrived from Kraken Hobbies.  Among the items received is a 3D printed replacement .50cal AA guns.  According to Wikipedia, 'The M1921 Browning machine gun was a water-cooled .50-caliber (12.7 mm) machine gun, designed by John Moses Browning, which entered production in 1929.  From 1917 to 1918, he developed the prototype Browning Winchester Cal.50 caliber heavy machine gun. It was developed from a water-cooled .30 caliber M1917 Browning machine gun.'  Before the introduction of the 20mm Oerlikon weapon, this was the standard light AA gun carried on US Navy ships.   According to the website NavWeaps, "Water-cooled" refers to the 1930s-1940s naval version. They also refer to it the Naval water-cooled Mount: Mark 3.  The naval version differed from the versions used in aircraft or by Army ground forces.  For more on the water-cooled version of .50cal Browning, check out this video from Forgotten Weapons.

THE PARTS
The packaging is in a large plastic clamshell container, with two 3D printed rafts holding the parts secured to the bottom of the packaging with double sided tape.

There are twelve .50cal AA guns included in the package - 2 weapons on each print raft.  The weapons are one piece.  Being 1/426 scale, they are quite small, but capture the distinctive shape of the weapon and it's mount nicely.  Included are the familiar ammo box and even a gun sight.

CONCLUSIONS
For those building the classic Revell Box Scale USS Arizona, this is a really useful upgrade part.  The weapons are nicely printed with good details for the scale.   These, along with other upgrade parts, like Kraken's 5in/51cal secondary guns, will really make that old Arizona shine.

This is Kraken Hobbies 1/426 USN 5/51 Deck Guns.  They retail for $7.99 USD, and are available directly from Kraken Hobbies, who I'd like to thank for this review sample.   Recommended!
