Black Cat Models from France has sent us some of their latest products. One of those to arrive is set AC350095c, 33' personnel boat (x2) .

According to "Boats of the United States Navy", the 33' personnel boat is used to transport office personnel, and can hold 24 men, including the crew. It displaces 16,200 lbs fully loaded, and has a range of 90 miles at full power and under full load.

THE 2cm FLAK

The packaging is the usual plastic clamshell container, with one print raft containing the 3D printed parts attached to the bottom of the packaging with double sided tape.

There are two 33' boat in the package. Detail is really well done. The outline for the life ring and windows are printed onto the sides of the cabin, and the windscreen framing is also very well done. But it's the rails, jack staff and grab handles that really caught my eye. These are simply sublime. Be careful, however, I managed to break off a jackstaff on one boat when handling.

INSTRUCTIONS

There are no instructions in the box, but the packing directs you to the Black Cat Models website. There, on a data page for the particular item, you will find a PDF on how to remove the printed supports that are part of the 3D printing process, and also how to assemble the weapons.

CONCLUSIONS

I sound like a broken record, but this is just another great accessory from Black Cat Models. I believe these boats are for modern USN ships, so check your references for which ship you can hoist this on. Regardless of where you place it, it's going to be a terrific upgrade from the kit parts.
