| 3D printed resin has absolutely revolutionized model building, especially
for those who enjoy super-detailing their subjects. Black Cat Models continues
to be on the bleeding edge on these aftermarket offerings, often offering
more or as much detail as resin plus photo etch alternatives.
To put it simply, these guns are simply magnificent, offering detail that would be welcome on a 1/200 scale build. The shape of the mount and barrel are fine and in-scale down to the reinforcing flanges on the bottom of the weapon. Unlike many 3D printed or fine resin offerings, the barrels are straight which... is a feature that I regret having to say is rare. The guns come on a wafer designed to protect the guns if they happen to come of the (extremely) sticky two-sided tape used in the box. If I had to fault them for anything? The gun sights are a bit thick, but I doubt anything finer could be printed, let alone left intact during placement on a ship. The package comes with nine guns, which may be enough to equip a destroyer. For those of you wishing to improve a cruiser, battleship, or carrier, you're going to have to buy several boxes of these, which while potentially pricy, are absolutely worth it. |

| CONCLUSION | ||||
 Incomparable.
That's the word I'd use to describe these guns. At the time of this review,
I simply do not know of a superior product for those obsessive IJN modelers
who want a photo-like build. FreeTimeHobbies retails a box of nine for
$9.99, which is average for this sort of set. They're worth every penny,
even if you have to buy them in bulk. Y'all know this hobby ain't cheap!
