It's always great to see modelers we know step up and contribute to the hobby. Some of you may remember Olaf Krabbenhöft. and his excellent U-558 diorama found in the Model Ship Gallery. Well it looks like Olaf has a new project and is the main author of this new German language publication titled  "U-Boot im Focus".
click images to enlarge The magazine features about 60 photos with 3 in color. There are nice color profiles of various U-boats and their towers. The book features stories about U-boat operations with maps and photos in it's 52 pages. More info on this first issue can be found here.
CONCLUSIONS
I don't read German very well, but I can tell you that the pictures and drawings are very well done. You can find out more on the Publishers Website. The site is available in English and you can order online using Paypal if you wish. The price in Germany: is 14,80 Euro, in the rest of Europe: 16,80, and outside Europe: 16,80 Euro all with postage included. That is about $23.00 US. If you love U-boats, then you will definitely want to check out this new publication. Hopefully we will see a lot more from Olaf in the future.
