Classic Warships is back with another Warship Pictorial. This one authored by Kurt Greiner of Sea Photo cover the Arleigh Burke class like it hasn't been covered before.
Kurt is a master at getting high quality photos of modern warships. He has captured the Burke class with some amazing photos that show the ship in incredible detail. There is a good mix of overall views and close-up views. The latter will give the modeler an excellent reference for detailing. The book begins with some history and background on the class. An explanation of the Flight I, II, and IIa variants is provided, and their features are illustrated in the many photos. Everything from the superstructure components to the weapons and antenna is covered. Many of the photos are full page views in very high resolution with noteworthy features circled. click to

There is even a nice set of plans from Duane Curtis of Warshipplans.com that show the DDG-51 and DDG-79 in plan and elevation. The plans include views showing the front sides of some of the superstructure and some of the design changes within the class.

Another great book for anyone interested in these Modern Warships. This book is 72 pages  with about 120 black & white and color photograph, and two sets of plans in a  8-1/4" x 11" soft book format. With a retail price of $18.00 US this book is an excellent value and a great addition to your Warship reference library.
