David Doyle's latest contribution to Squadron's "On Deck" series covers the USS Kidd, a Fletcher Class destroyer preserved as a museum ship in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Kidd as been painstakingly restored to her World War Two appearance after having been decommissioned in 1964.

This edition has 80 pages filled with over 200 photos, mostly full-color shots of Kidd as she appears today. These shots do focus primarily on Kidd's external features, with about 10% of the images being interior shots.

Scans are reduced quality.
CONCLUSIONS

A great reference for destroyer lovers, and Fletchers. Mr. Doyle's usual thorough style and attention to detail will make any modeler who plan on a building a Fletcher need to get those book. Highly recommended- get yours while you can!

Thanks to Squadron and the author for the review sample. It is listed as #26010 USS Kidd: On Deck with a MSRP of $18.95 US.
