How To CD
Building Resin Ship Models
by Flagship Models
Here's another new CD by Master Modeler Rusty White that will help get started building resin ship models.
If you wish to build something other than the typical New Jersey or Yamato, you might be tempted to try a resin kit. Just the mention of the word Resin sends some modelers on the run. But have no fear Master Modeler Rusty White who has built more than his share of this medium has provided a new How-To CD to illustrate the basics of resin ship building. Rusty covers such topics as Glue to use and Part preparation. Since resin casting is not always perfect he shows techniques for fixing warped hulls or air bubbles and voids. Also covered are tips for casting your own replacement parts. Many of the other tips cover assembly and scratchbuilding methods.

It plays in a standard CD or DVD player and uses Adobe Acrobat to view these files. It can downloaded for free from the Adobe site

Conclusions: This is an inexpensive CD that can only help make you a better modeler out of you. Many of tips apply to any multimedia type kits so even if you are still working in plastic only, I would recommend this CD to help get started mixing it up a bit. It  lists for $8.95 and is available direct from Flagship via the website.
