Modelarstwo #80

Reviewed September 2019
by Martin J Quinn

Polish Ship Modeling Magazine Modelarstwo's issue number 80, from January 2019, has arrived.  This issue features plans for the Cutter "Hafborg" in 1/75 scale, plans for the submarine ORP Bielik in 1/144 scale, reviews, tips on using a CAD program, a nice 1/700 centerfold drawing of Sexy Sister Sara in her dazzle camo, and some color profiles of the V&W class destroyers Whitshed and Worcester, in 1/350 scale.

There is also a section on "Boatbuilding" which shows you how to rig a sailing ship, and a section on how to make sails and rig the British cutter HMS Fly, circa 1763.
CONCLUSIONS
This is an interesting magazine with something for all sorts of different types of ship modelers.   The plans are a great resource for scratch builders, and I really like the color profiles of Sara and the V&W class destroyers.

The only downside is the language, particularly if you don't read Polish.   Even so, this obviously a high quality magazine with detailed drawings and illustrations.   If you are interested in subscribing, or ordering back issues, contact saga@modelarstwookretowe.pl for details.  I'm told they will reply in English.
