Polish Ship Modeling Magazine Modelarstwo issue number 50 is out. This one features the "Terrible Twins" - Polish submarines ORP "SOKÓL" and ORP "DZIK" (British U-class submarines), drawn up in 1/100 scale. The plans are sharp and clear and show all the standard views along with many details. there is also color profiles within the pages showing the markings for the two subs. Another set of plans show the Russian battleship "Impierator Nikolaj I" from  1905 drawn in 1/400 scale.

Renderings of the Japanese 127 mm/50 Type 3 Gun Turret and paravanes and handling equipment. These are almost photo realistic and show them from many angles.

Part four of the painting monographs shows German destroyers of the "Narvik" class. Z24, Z38 and Z39 are featured with full color views, part of which is shown in the thumbnail views below. 

CONCLUSIONS

This magazine is yet another helpful resource for the ship modeler. The photos and plans offer something for all kinds of modelers. The illustrations are first class and having the plans is a big bonus!

While most of you probably don't read Polish, this well illustrated magazine is still a great value. The detailed drawings and illustrations are reason enough to subscribe or at least order back issues like this one.
