Reviewed November 2013

Polish Ship Modeling Magazine Modelarstwo issue number 48 is out. This one features a variety of subjects . One is a follow-up to the last issue with German "Narvik" class destroyers Z-29 and Z-30. These are shown in full color with port and starboard camouflage. U-847 U-boat IXD2 class is featured as well as 1/200 scale drawings, and plenty of photos including the Fa 330 Bachstelze a  rotor kite that was towed along behind the U-boat allowing the lookout to see further over the horizon.

Modern Russian 100 mm  A-190 gun turret is featured in some fantastic 3D renderings.

HMS Rodney is another feature and also included are large B size drawings showing the Rodney from 1942 in 1/300 scale. There is even a nice study of wake patterns that makes me wish I could read and understand the Polish language.
CONCLUSIONS

This magazine is yet another helpful resource for the ship modeler. The photos and plans offer something for all kinds of modelers. The illustrations are first class and having the plans is a big bonus!

While most of you probably don't read Polish, this well illustrated magazine is still a great value. The detailed drawings and illustrations are reason enough to subscribe or at least order back issues like this one.
