I have the honour of presenting here at Modelwarships.com some stunning examples of some very precious -literally ! - ship models.

Peter Wilson is a master Gold and Silversmith here in the UK. Among the more conventional silver items he and his team are often asked to produce are ship models - on commission - using precious metals and enamelled inlay.

These models are constructed to builders plans and supporting photo documentation where available and are constructed entirely of Sterling Silver, Gold and Platinum, and occasionally gemstones.

Many clients are the royal houses of Arabian countries- hence the variety of differing rigs of 'Arab Dhows'. In addition, Peter has also made models of new build warships as well as Royal, super- and mega- yachts!

I hope we will be able enjoy seeing future models from Peter Wilson's Workshop.
