This year’s show was on October 10th.

It was nice to see Ryan, Kerry, and An again. I also met Rob Brown, who built the 1/700 models on the water effect plates.

At the end of the show, Rob placed his 1/700 Mogami next to Kerry’s 1/350 cousin just for fun.

The 1/350 Hood is the same one as the one last year, so I didn’t take many pictures of it. Same thing with the very large Bismarck paper model. You can see last year’s report here. ( http://www.modelwarships.com/features/current/ipms-vancouver08/index.htm )

The Mikasa you see is mine, pictures of which will be sent to the gallery separately later, so I did not take any pictures of her specifically.

The awards were as follows:
Best Canadian Navy subject - HMCS Bonaventure
Best Nautical Subject - HMCS Bonaventure

2nd - 1/350 IJN Mogami by Kerry Jang, using the Tamiya kit with Lionroar accessories – he finished rigging it only the night before the contest!
3rd - 1/35 LCM, Italeri kit

1st - HMS Prince of Wales by An Chu, Tamiya kit
2nd - RM Duca D’Aosta also by An Chu, Delphis kit
3rd - USS Boston, Trumpeter kit

Submarines (If I recall correctly):
1st - 1/72 U 407, Revell kit
2nd - 1/72 Japanese Target Sub, Finemolds kit
3rd - 1/125 U Boat, Revell kit
