Here are the model ship entries for I-CON 2009 The model contest sponsored by IPMS Des Moines / Hawkeye Modelers, and which took place in Waukee, Iowa on Saturday September 19, 2009.

The Judging and Awards were rather odd and made little sense, to me. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places were more like Gold, Silver, Bronze and judged on a points system. There were 8 ship and submarine models total in the Ships category submitted by 4 modelers; and a U-Boat in the Out-of-the-Box category by another modeler. I'm not sure if the ships and subs were divided into separate categories, but the award for each model is listed, here. Certainly a bit of a farce, in my opinion.
